I'm a digital native with 10+ years experience building, experimenting and learning online.
I'm currently based in Munich, Germany, but have worked with companies and clients all over the globe.
I love working with and learning about the latest technologies. I've had a keen interest in digital marketing since starting my first online business at the age of 13, and enjoy figuring out how technology can help solve marketing challenges.
My entrepreneurial streak has led to me start a number of online businesses since the first one about 16 years ago. With limited budgets and a 'DIY' mentality, I've learnt a huge amount about the ins and outs of running a business - from marketing, to financial management, to managing freelancers (and more).
I've also worked with many different types of companies, from startups to larger corporate firms, both locally and internationally. I enjoy helping businesses of all shapes and sizes do better marketing!
I've picked up few things over the years, but am always looking to learn new things and improve myself.

At Global Savings Group I have a hybrid role, split between leading the B2C marketing efforts for the UK market at GSG and leading global B2B marketing. On the B2C side role involves coordinating our efforts across performance marketing, CRM, influencers, and organic growth initatives. On the B2B side, a role I started in June 2023, I am aiming to build up the GSG brand through content marketing, PR, and events. Our goal is to help the sales teams across the organisation to onboard more retailers. I am also part of the leadership team of the global marketing function.
August 2017 - January 2022
Matmatch is a digital platform that aims to change how people find materials and suppliers online. I joined the company a month before its launch in September 2017, towards the end of its incubation phase with Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures.
I head up the growth/marketing department and lead a team of four as well as managing relationships with external agencies. In addition to my management and strategic duties, I very much retain a hands-on role. I was responsible for recruiting the team and still have daily involvement in many of our digital marketing activities.
I have also led larger cross-functional teams on projects and design sprints, and worked with student teams from universities around the world to solve specific challenges.
During my time at Matmatch we have grown the user base to more than 2 million people. I also helped to onboard some of the world’s leading materials companies as clients.
March 2015 - August 2017
I worked with multiple business units in a role heavily focused on digital marketing. My responsibilities were wide and varied, but included paid search, display advertising and remarketing, social media marketing, SEO, and email marketing.
I also looked after various aspects of our martech stack, including Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Sitecore. Towards the end of my time at the company, I implemented a lead attribution solution via Marketo and Salesforce.
In addition, I worked with various product teams across the company to help determine messaging and go-to-market strategy.
November 2013 - March 2015
I managed digital marketing at Oneserve, a SaaS company, where my objective was to grow the business and put it on the path to profitability. With a strong focus on content marketing and organic search, I helped to grow traffic to the website and generate, qualify and nurture hundreds of leads. I also worked with the product team to help determine the product roadmap, messaging and communications to existing customers.
September 2011 - July 2012
I spent a year in Malaga, Spain, working in the Services and Communications department at IASP. My role including preparing promotional items, writing articles for the website and assisting with preparations for the organisation's annual World Conference in Tallinn, and its first ever appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
2004 - Present
In addition to my 'formal' work history, over the years I've founded various online businesses. Key successes include:
September - October 2020
Comprehensive overview of the systems and frameworks that form the foundation of successful growth, learning from practitioners at companies that have already scaled successfully.
September 2018
Two-day growth hacking course to explore growth strategy and test different growth marketing tactics.
October 2015 - May 2016
Digital marketing leadership course developed with Google, which covered a range of digital marketing and business management topics.
September 2009 - June 2013
Studied a range of modules, including Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Entrepreneurial Management, Business Decision Analysis, Financial Accounting and Economics. Achieved top marks for my dissertation titled "A grand design built on shaky foundations: Was the Euro introduced without the existence of the necessary political union to support it?"
Here's a small sample of my work.
I have real-world experience running a range of businesses and wearing many different hats at once, but have also learned the theory behind it all having studied Business at university.
I'm no developer, but I've picked up a pretty wide range of technical skills. I know my way around HTML and CSS, understand how to run complex integrated marketing campaigns (without having to rely on an agency!), and am able to turn data into actionable insights in a data visualization tool.
As I've mentioned already, I have a fierce entrepreneurial streak and have done since I was young. I'm looking for a role that will allow me to flex my metaphorical entrepreneurial muscles.
I've been a growth hacker since I launched my first website, and although I now work with much larger budgets than I used to, my outlook hasn't changed. I love experimenting and finding new ways to drive growth at a low cost.
I've been in leadership roles since the age of 26. At both Matmatch and Global Savings Groups I have hired and led teams. At Matmatch I was also responsible for leading a cross-functional team of around 10 people, including engineers, product and UX specialists, a designer, marketers, and salespeople.
In the last few years I've become increasingly interested in product management for two reasons. Firstly, I think that deep product knowledge is required to effectively sell something. Secondly, I love the idea of building products that deliver real value to their end users.
